Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect
About the Opportunity
Our client, a high-growth fintech innovator transforming digital commercial banking, is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Architect. In this role, you will spearhead modern AWS multi-region infrastructure, automate zero-trust security postures, and collaborate directly with principal engineering teams to scale high-throughput payment architectures.
What You'll Do
- Architect, deploy, and maintain highly available, multi-region AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes.
- Partner with cybersecurity teams to implement zero-trust access, SOC2 compliance guardrails, and automated secrets management.
- Lead continuous optimization of cloud spending, observability (Datadog/OpenTelemetry), and auto-scaling performance.
- Mentor mid-level DevOps and Platform engineers through architectural design reviews and technical retrospectives.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience architecting large-scale distributed systems and enterprise cloud platforms.
- Deep expertise with AWS (EKS, VPC peering, IAM, RDS, Route53, KMS).
- Production mastery of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Terragrunt).
- Demonstrated track record maintaining 99.99% uptime in financial or regulated mission-critical environments.
Preferred Experience
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, FinOps practices, and container mesh architectures (Istio).
